An absolutely DELICIOUS way to receive the powerful benefits of 'awa* (kava!) No bitter kava taste!!
*’Awa (pronounced AH-VAH) is the Hawaiian word for kava. Since all my kava is sourced from the Big Island, we honor its Hawaiian name of ‘Awa.
This special alchemy of CACAO-‘AWA-HONEY is brought to you by a collaboration between @plantofpeace and Waialeale.
Made in small batches on the garden isle of Kauai with only 3 ingredients: ethically sourced cacao powder, local Kauai raw honey, and fresh instant ‘awa / kava powder from the Big Island, HI.
Enjoy 1 tbsp any time of day or night to feel the effects of the ‘awa. Experiment yourself to know whether a smaller or higher dose is desire.
This special selected ‘awa variety is known for its uplifting yet calming effects. Testimonials from taste-testers of 1 tbsp of the cacao 'awa honey include:

- Tranquility and calm
- Euphoric
- Heightened dreams
Note: The ‘Awa / Kava used in this product is NOT an extract nor is it micronized kava. It is the only “instant kava powder” offering on the market that is true kava juice from the whole, freshly harvested plant that has then simply been dehydrated- making it the freshest, purest and most potent available.
@plantofpeace via KAVA x KAKAO is the first 'awa / kava on the market sharing its intended ceremonial use. There is history, especially here in Hawaii, that shows ‘awa was revered as sacred, used in ceremony, in council, and for conflict resolution. Kava has been used for 3000 years for spiritual connection and enlightenment. It's known as a way to connect with ancestors and the gods, or in more modern words, the Soul/Higher Self/Source. Kava has been called the root of happiness and the “plant of peace” - with no single recorded account of an individual becoming violent while on kava, which we know is a very different story than with alcohol, today’s social drug of choice.
I am excited to announce that I am partnering with the ‘awa to distribute the consciousness of peace in a way that is reverent of kava’s historic cultural use yet also curious of its fresh wisdom today, in application of where humanity stands now, globally.
With @plantofpeace, I am dedicated to providing the highest quality, ceremonial grade ‘awa so that you get the most benefit possible both physically and spiritually.
'AWA (HAWAIIAN KAVA)
Sourced directly from an organic farm on the Big Island of Hawaii (expand sections to read more)
No middlemen or shipping containers. Fresh 'awa / kava only!
Made from FRESH green kava juice (NON micronized)
Our instant ‘awa is NOT like medium grind kava where you have to strain all the fibers out. This is *non micronized dehydrated Kava juice* which is extremely rare and can’t be found on any other commercial kava website.
Not "Micronized" or "Micronized Instant". This is a TRUE instant kava that is made from dehydrated kava juice. If you were to make a batch of fresh (un-dried) kava to drink, if you dehydrated that drink you would have the instant kava powder we use. Made from Fresh Hawaiian 'Awa root - just add water!
Mo'i: Noble Strain for Ceremonial Use
Mo’i is a rare strain of ‘awa/kava that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. Hawaiian 'Awa is considered to be among the best of the best. Just like the Vanuatu “Noble” kava, which means it has been safely used by Islanders for thousands of years. It is grown and harvested fresh, never being shipped in a container overseas.
The ‘Awa in the @plantofpeace tins is the noble strain called Mo’i, sourced directly from an organic farm on the Big Island of Hawaii. The Mo’i strain was traditionally used by the ali’i (royalty) and chiefs for special ceremonies.
When working with Mo’i, we are invited to bring extra intention and reverence.
I was immediately drawn to communing with the Mo’i when I began working with ‘awa here in Hawaii. I could feel something about it was special. It’s a rare gift to be able to source it, and furthermore share it with the world at large.
Enjoy, and please do share what you hear, learn and experience when you work with this sacred strain.

PREPARATION
HOW TO INCORPORATE CEREMONIAL ‘AWA INTO YOUR LIFE
Best on an empty stomach.
Mix 1 tsp of Mo’i ‘awa with one cup of water. Temperature of water is up to you (I prefer it cold!)
Shake in a jar before pouring it or simply stir to get out any clumps.
Have a small spoon handy so that you can stir the ‘awa and water before drinking, as the powder can settle to the bottom.
Optional: drink from a coconut shell.
Mo’i can be consumed any time of day. You can increase dose if you'd like or have an additional shell after 10 minutes or so.
You can drink it all in one chug or sip it. It is very earthy and will make your mouth feel a little numb.
You can choose to meditate, pray, or allow a dialogue to open up naturally with anyone you are sharing ‘awa with.
If you’d like, you can have another round or two. You can also play with increasing dosage - instead of 1 tsp in 8oz, you can increase to 3 tsp in 8oz and feel the difference.
State a "commitment" out loud and say any honoring prayers before consuming all in one gulp (optional). Great for meditation or intentional connection with friends. Read below for example protocol.
Example Protocol For 'Awa Ceremony
Before drinking: dip your fingers in the ‘awa shell/cup and flick a little bit out in the following order (click to expand):
Before drinking: dip your fingers in the ‘awa shell/cup and flick a little bit out in the following order:
1) Behind you to honor those that came before you.
2) In front of you to honor those that will come after you, whether your direct lineage or any of your creations.
3) To the left, to honor your mother line.
4) To the right, to honor your father line.
5) Above you, to honor the Creator/Source/God
6) Optional: pour a little bit (or a whole shell) on the Earth as an offering
7) State your COMMITMENT - something that uplifts your oneness, that supports you in letting go of attachments, and that will bring you more inner peace.
8) Mix the rest with a spoon and drink it all in one chug, or you can choose to sip it.
Feel free to adjust this practice/protocol to suit your own wisdom and guidance. Remember, as with any plant, this is about relationship and dialogue. This gets to be a sovereign co-creation between you and the ‘awa.
I’d love to hear your discoveries and experiences. Don’t hesitate to DM or email with questions, feedback and sharing!
